Sleeping at night can be a real nightmare for some. Not everyone sleeps at night. In fact, most people suffer from one ailment or another that keeps them from having a good night’s sleep. There can be underlying health issues, sleeping disorders, mental disorders, and even just moderate to severe pain. Some people may have trouble sleeping due to insomnia, sleep apnea, or narcolepsy, just to name a few sleep disorders. Some health issues can include gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) or severe heart burn, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), and severe allergies leading to asthma.

Adjustable beds may be an option that might be able to help with some of these issues. Adjustable beds are beds that have adjustable mattresses that can move shape into different positions that may help with pain and health issues and help the user in getting better sleep. Adjustable beds may help those who have trouble sleeping at night. Some benefits of adjustable beds may include having a slight incline at your head or feet. This may prevent you from curling up or bending your knees and leading to unwanted pain.

Adjustable beds may allow you to lift your legs up just enough that you may be able to prevent Edema complications. Edema is when the legs and feet swell from accumulated fluids and become painful. Adjustable beds may help to take some of the pressure off areas of the body that make it uncomfortable when sleeping, according to the National Sleep Foundation. An adjustable bed mattress can be adjusted to support your neck, shoulders, thighs, legs and feet, upper and lower back, head, and hips.
