Three Reasons to Consider Living in a Loft

I wish I could point out one, specific reason why I’m living in a loft rather than in one of the more traditional Philadelphia apartment buildings around the city, but the fact of the matter is that there’s just so many benefits and advantages of living in a loft to pick from.

Here are a few such reasons why you should consider living in a loft rather than one of those other Philly apartments.

The Wall Space.

Lofts are a lot like studio apartments in that they’re usually like one big room, which means that there’s tons of wall space available to hang your favorite art work and decorations. Some see this as a disadvantage since there’s no distinct rooms, but with all of the furniture options available you can easily distinguish one “room” from another.

The Uniqueness.

One of the best parts of living in a loft is the sheer uniqueness of the living space. Most lofts are converted living spaces, meaning at one time or other they were used for something other than an apartment. A lot used to be warehouses or storage spaces, which means that there’s exposed bricks and piping. The industrial accents make the space very trendy, fun, and different.

The Openness.

That being said, such a space is very open. The ceilings are usually high, which means that the space feels very open and luxurious. Not many traditional style apartments can offer such an interesting ambience. Plus, there are often several windows, which can make the apartment feel even more open. Basically, lofts are perfect if you hate feeling closed-in.

Living in a loft has been one of the best experiences of my life. If you’re considering a new, city living lifestyle for yourself, then you have to consider moving into one of these unique, open apartments.
